Baldwin Adirondack Chair

The Baldwin Adirondack Chair is a masterpiece. It is the most incredibly comfortable Adirondack styled chair in the world! Its ergonomic fit and proportions are unmatched. The angled arm was made possible by this nifty little feature of the Baldwin chair. Router is used to carve a 4 inch diameter level spot in the arm of the chair. As most people are right handed we always put the drink holder on the right arm rest, but it is also available with an optional drink holder on the left arm rest. The two pieces of the "X-frame" are notched to fit together called "half-lap" which creates a sturdy connection between backrest and frame of the chair and keeps every thing from wobbling or loosening up.

We press the stabilizer into the "dado" cut in the front of the front leg after applying special outdoor wood glue. The front leg is secured to the back leg with stainless steel carriage bolts and screws. This combination of joinery gives our chair great stability and strength. Lumber is air dried for six months so you will not get any shrinkage in our joints. This chair takes all the weight off your shoulders, back, and tail bone, when you lean back every muscle in your body can relax. You are being perfectly supported and your mind can then relax and experience sheer bliss...

The Baldwin Adirondack Chair is constructed from cedar which is naturally rot resistant and exudes an odor which repels insects. Cedar can be left outdoors without maintenance for many years without any problems. The chair can be left unfinished if you want the furniture to turn gray. The Baldwin chair is big and sturdy enough for any linebacker as it features 20.75 inch long seat slats and countered arms which give extra space.

Our dedication to sanding is what brings our customers back year after year. Everything at Baldwin's gets coated with Olympic Maximum weather proofing sealer at the factory. Annual maintenance is necessary to keep up the new look, but if you like the weathered grey look then do no maintenance. Cedar is an excellent material and can be left out year after year after year.
